Donations to Temple Sholom are essential for our efforts toward keeping Jewish traditions alive in our community. We designed the Temple’s Tzedakah Registry to help make giving both more convenient and individualized for donors. By purchasing items off the registry, you honor our longstanding history and foster our ability to continue to operate in a meaningful way for future generations.

Created in 2010, our Tzedakah registry was initiated as a part of the celebration of Rabbi Petuchowski’s 13th “Bar Mitzvah” year at Temple Sholom. The response has been enormously positive and the innovation of being able to specifically earmark funds for particular needs at the Temple was touted as making the experience of philanthropy more personalized and practical. Your donations make you a vital part of Temple Sholom and Gan Shalom’s endeavors. As Membership Dues only cover 40% of our Annual Budget, both Gan Shalom and Temple Sholom rely on contributions beyond membership and tuition fees to help meet the needs of our community.

We want you to know exactly where your money is going. Whether you are moved to support our Gan Shalom Early Childhood Education Center or our musical Worship Services, to purchase educational materials for our Religious School or to support the weekly Monday Meal for those who are in need, or find another aspect of synagogue life to fund, we thank you for supporting Temple Sholom through the Tzedakah Registry.
